Cervicovaginal detection of microorganisms in patients with type 2 diabetes

The purpose of the present investigation was to report presence cervicovaginal microorganisms most frequently found in exfoliative smears (Papanicolaou) patients with type 2 diabetes. Cervical-vaginal cytologist performed on an open population all who attended from March 2010 2020 within framework early cancer detection program, gynecological interrogations were applied 1587 who, after taking cell samples, processed using Papanicolaou staining technique modified by same for subsequent microscopic diagnosis. Of results obtained studied, 148 (9.32%) suffer diabetes mellitus and these only 130 (87.83%) showed at least one microorganism under observation, being Candida spp., samples In conclusions, is a disease that predisposes appearance infections, particularly therefore, there need surveillance guidelines efforts reverse this its complications.
